On the 26th February 2009, violence broke out in the Parliament lobby. This has never happened in the annals of Malaysian history. A youth wing of the ruling Party in power thought it was the best way to vent their grievances against a particular Member of Parliament for airing views that were objectionable to it.As pointed out in my earlier post, Saturn (14 degrees) is currently being powerfully aspected by evil Ketu (15 degrees)in the nation's chart. Saturn represents, inter alia, law/order,disciplin e,liberty, fair play and democracy. When afflicted (as it now happens)it gives the opposite results. In other words, it strips off one the basic ability and strength to maintain discipline and caves into indiscipline, anarchy and chaos. The node, Ketu creates an impact to break down the good qualities of the planet of Democracy and imbibes the reverse negative attributes. As Saturn represents the Government in the nation's chart, the breakdown of discipline is seen to emanate from the functioning of the government machinery.So, the incident in the Parliament yesterday was nothing out of the extraordinary. In fact Saturn represents the 10th House. The Tenth House indicates, inter alia, Parliament (just as any text book on Mundane Astrology will reveal). But to what extent will democratic principles be sacrificed by the government in power? Astrologically, the government will be seen to be exercising powers very much against the grain of the democratic principles (as many who feel aggrieved will testify) in the administration of the government. This misgiving and uncomfortable position will continued during the duration of the affliction of Saturn by Ketu between now till 31st March 2009. With Jupiter also in debilitation, moral values will be replaced by methods that are contrary to acceptable norms and standards. Jupiter represents sincerity, honesty, morals and values
